Threat form the online job provider to pay amount

Good morning,
My self is mahanty and I applied for a home-based online job on quicker site. The company representative contacted me and assigned the job for filling 1000 forms and need to meet the accuracy 90%, then only they pay the money to me, otherwise, I have to pay 5500 rupees to them. After I submit the work I got a report that I failed to meet the accuracy so I have to pay 5500 rupees to them immediately, I refuse to pay the amount. Now they are sending me legal notice through e-mail.
I am in a hurry, I don’t know what to do, please help me regarding this. In this pandemic time, I am suffering for food, and that’s the reason I applied for online jobs, but now I am in the soup. Please help me regarding this
