Posted cctv video in apartment group of co-owner damaging equipment

12-Sep-2023 (In Cyber Crime Law)
I have taken cctv recording from maintenance team and posted video in apartments owners group to show as proof when male owner responsible for damages was denying the act. Cctv recording was of GYM and apart from male owner, female was also visible and i took permission from her. Am i in a situation to face defamation charges?

hi
in general, if cctv is installed in public premises, the recording of ongoing activities in the premises is presumed to be known and acknowledged by persons using the room.
so technically there is no case of defamation as the cctv recordings have been shared within permitted user group ( apartment owner group) and that too with oral consent of female member who was a witness to the incident
