Payment taken but course and batch not provided

29-Aug-2024 (In Cyber Crime Law)
I purchased a course on EMI. Course company didn't provide the courses but started deducting EMI. Bank also sending notice and threat to send recovery agent at home. Course company completely denied refunding the amount though they accepted mistake happened and want to fix the mistake, but I want my money because they cheat now, they can cheat later also. Course amount 35,999. What should I do now? Can cybercrime team solve this?

I recommend filing a formal complaint with the Consumer Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, for deficiency in service and unfair trade practices by the course company. You should also notify the bank of the dispute and request a hold on further EMI deductions. Additionally, lodge a complaint with the cybercrime department if you suspect fraud or misuse of online transactions. You have the right to claim a refund and compensation for the inconvenience caused.
