Surety Substitution in Criminal case

My uncle is out on bail and one of the surety wants to sell his house. Can the surety be replaced? Will my uncle has to go back to jail for a few days for Surety Substitution or can it happen without him going to jail? Will my uncle needs to be present in the court for Surety Substitution? and How many days will he get for Surety Substitution?
