Require Consultation of Murder in Banglore

Hi
So here's the thing, my sister who was pursuing engineering in Delhi has been placed at Banglore in an MNC, where she has been Murdered by her boy-friend. Police have arrested him also. He has also confessed. But no action has been taken. We did not receive any kind of formal notice or any things yet.
My question is What are the things that we need to do now.
LIke, Do we need to a lawyer to represent us in Banglore. ?
We are not that financially strong so we can not go to Banglore for every hearing, Is it possible to skip few hearing or Should we transfer our case.
What needs to be done so that criminal should be punished.?
