Dear Friend,
you can give affidavit along with copy application to the concerned department or else you can approach for a copy of the charge sheet where he/she can apply for you and give it to you or else you can engage a lawyer by filing application under 24 of code of criminal procedure and obtain a copy of the charge sheet and you can appoint He/She as prosecution assistance or a special public prosecutor in order to trial the matter

How do I know if my chargesheet is filed?

You can ask the investigating officer if the charge sheet was filed at the court concerned. Another way to find out is by contacting the section office of Court of Jurisdiction, where the chargesheet is supposed to be filled in by the police.

How does a chargesheet look like?

Charge Sheet Should Include: Names, nature of information and offenses are all included in the chargesheet. The chargesheet will answer important questions such as whether the accused was arrested, held in custody or released and if any action had been taken against him. 23-Jan-2023

What happens when a charge sheet is filed?

A charge-sheet informs a person that criminal charges have been filed against them. The person who filed the charge sheet is now known as the accused. The filing of a charge-sheet at the magistrates office indicates that criminal proceedings have begun.

Copy of charge sheet can be obtained from the court. In the clerical department you need to fill the form and affix the court fees. Apply on urgent basis you’ll get the copy in three days. Also you need to pay an amount per page. Better hire a lawyer.

You have not mentioned in your question, whether you are complainant or accused. If you are an accused against whom police will file a charge sheet then you have a legal right to get the copy of charge sheet when you appear in court on summons of police at the time of filing charge sheet. If you are a complainant , you have to make an application for certified copy of charge sheet to the concerned court.
