Is it necessary to submit original after filing a case against builder

03-Jul-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Builder has not delivered a flat nor he is refunding the amount paid. Therefore I have filed a criminal case against him. The investigating Inspector is calling for ORIGINAL documents and agreements which i do not wish to give as it is the only proof I have. Would like to know, is it Mandotry to give Originals or can i give SELF-ATTESTED copies ? if yes, under which rule per recent Prime Minister self-attestation relief to common man. thanks alot for the advise.

Is it before police station or RERA where you have filed ? Your question is not clear. If investigating officer is a police then show the originals and give submit the attested copies. Don't submit originals. You have a very good case before Consumer Forum where you can claim for compensation to the loss and mental agony borne by you. Prime Minister rule you go through and study.
