cheating and outraging the modesty

i am apurva and i am 20. i am a student and i was dating a boy from same college. He promised me to marry me infront of my friends. we were close and use to frequently go out. he booked rooms in hotel, saying we are going out for lunch and so and forced me, and touched me inappropriately with out my consent. i tried approaching him and his family in different ways asking him to keep his promise of marrying me. But they seem to care less. i approached PS and they helped me file and fir on IPC sections 354 417 420 506. will this work? will i get justice by getting him punished? if so what kind of punishments can be expected. the boy is muslim and i am hindu.
