Posting bank-related photos on Twitter

06-Sep-2023 (In Corporate Law)
A friend of mine who works in a bank in Dubai, was sending me pictures of her work (taken from her computer monitor) to me which seemed to be confidential info of the bank. I sent an email to bank seeking advice who confirmed it is related to work and requested the pics to be deleted. She had cheated me some money and also sent a legal notice demanding more money. She also contacted my work place and tried to give me headaches saying I am a fraudster. I sent email to her bank informing the sme and they seemed to support her and ignoring my emails. I plan to post the pictures in Twitter and tag the banks support groups...and some of their customers and making everyone know that the bank lacks information security and their employees send banks info to outsiders. I wud like to know if this will bring me trouble....if the bank in Dubai can initiate any legal action from there.

Hi, you act of informing the bank about your friends act of posting the confidential information related to the Bank in which she works is commendable. However, if there is any sort of cheating involved by your friend on financial terms then you may lodge a complaint for recovery of the money from her legally and do not get into act of black mailing with her employer. This may cause you problem in future if the bank initiates legal action on you.
