Can a contract employee sue a company for giving him irrelevant work

Hi i am employee of an MNC in Bangalore and since 6 months they are giving me irrelevant work what i was hired for I am soft engineer and data scientist but they are making me do PPT and other stuff no technical when i complained they r threatening me that they wil take me out of job what to do can i challenge them legally , i am contract employee

You can take action against them by issuing legal notice first and taking matter before Labour Commissioner by engaging advocate on your behalf. First go through the terms and conditions of your appointment and consult advocate as soon as possible for further action.
