When is Interrogatory Evidence given to Doctors for Medical Negligence

In medical negligence cases on what basis an interrogatory is given to the opponent doctors. Whether the interrogatory is framed on the basis reply given by OP’s for the complaint or the questions are framed on their affidavit in support of evidence.
Questions in the interrogatories need not be restricted to the complaint or the evidence affidavit. The interrogatories need to be relevant to the facts of the case.
