You have very good case. It's clear cut deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.
The bank is liable to damages for whatever loss is suffered by you due to defficiency of part of bank. You may approach to consumer forum.

You should file a complaint against the bank under the provisions ofnConsumer Protection Act for deficiency in service and claim compensation for the harassment and the loss caused to you. Before filing the complaint, do send them a legal notice through a lawyer.

Move an application to ombudsman and if they will not take any action then u can file a complaint under consumer protection Act before a competent jurisdiction.
U can sent a legal notice to the bank by mentioning all di facts.
