What steps can be taken when fees paid but did not provide Coaching
16-Jun-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Hi, I have paid 25000 for Optional Online coaching for Pragnya IAS Academy in March 2017. They took fees saying that classes were already started. But after I paid, they told faculty is on leave and will resume classes shortly. But in July 2017, they told they are not conducting classes instead they will send only recorded classes which I wasn't interested. I asked for refund since then. I called multiple times and mailed many times. I have even visited their office. They always try to avoid and I never got a proper reply. I have all receipts, recorded calls and mails. Kindly help
Dear,
Approach the jurisdictional Consumer Forum and file a complaint against the academy as the academy is deficient in providing their services. In the complaint, pray the forum to direct the academy to refund the total amount collected from you along with interest on the amount paid calculated from the date of the payment till the time the academy pays back the amount. In addition to this, also claim monetary compensation from the academy for the mental harassment you have suffered in the hands of the academy. Hope this helps!

Initially you need to issue a legal notice to Pragnya IAS Academy, to refund the entire fee of Rs.25000/- alongwith interest and if the the coaching centre does not oblige the legal notice, then consumer case can be filed against them
Now a days this kind of cyber frauds are going high and in order to sue them for the things done please report the same to cyber crime department and at the same time local PS but it would have done in the same time when you realize they have done fraud. if possible hold all relevant documents which they have communicated and payment record try to send them a legal notice through an advocate.
