What can be done when an online seller charges over mrp

24-Jul-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I purchased a laptop backpack from an online portal after  paying Rs 4491. I received the laptop backpack yesterday and to my surprise MRP on the backpack is just 3099. I immediately raised concern about charging more than MRP with customer care and they all blatantly defended such charges. I would like to hear from you on actions I should take in order to get my money. I have the inioice, I have the product in the original package along with all price tags. Thanks

No seller can charge over MRP. However if he has charged more than MRP then you can send him a legal notice for the recovery of money. If he does not comply with the demands of the notice, then you can file a suit in the consumer forum.
