want celerity over jurisdiction of consumer courts

04-Aug-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Sir, I have availed Rs 20 lac from Punjab and Sind Bank @11 % (floating) for an EMI 20,700/- for 240 installments. After three months of loan issue bank increased rate of interest 11.75% and EMI gone upto 22,300/- but bank never informed this fact and dishonestly placing cheques of Rs 20,700/- even for the last month too. Now the bank ask me to deposit 1,40,000/- (due to the differences in the EMIs) and it has come to my knowledge that my loan was stagnant for the last four years. What should I do? Can I approach consumer forum. where should I file the matter ? is it at district forum or state commission? pl advise..

Hi,

In your case you can go to consumer court for the miscommunication and harrassment done by bank intentionally for not informing you and if it informed you it needs to furnish the proof of the same.
and Upto 20 lac - you have to go to the District forum
and from 20 lac to 1 Crore- you have to go to the State commission.
