Service center broke phone in transit and asking me to pay for it.

19-Dec-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I bought a phone 3rd November. On 14th i gave to service center due to some faults in it. They told me that the phone had a faulty mother board and had to be sent to the head office for repairs which will take around 15-20 to repair. In transit they broke my phone and are asking me to pay the damages for the broken or else they wont repair it. What action can i take?

It is fault on the part of service center hence it is responsibility of the service center to carry the goods with proper care and for this the responsibility upon the service center to take care and for you have to file a complain with consumer forum.

You have good reason to file a consumer complaint against the service center and the said company for the refund of the entire amount of the product. You need not pay any money now and better to initiate legal proceedings with sending a legal notice to all the responsible persons.
