Regarding collection of deposit amount from a pg

Deposit amount of 20k was fixed for a ladies pg in Bangalore, out of which I had paid 15k has a booking amount on March 5 2020 ...I was supposed to occupy it by March 27after clearing the balance , I was about to attend a coaching class , due to Covid pandemic & lockdown I couldn't occupy even the coaching class also cancelled ... as I haven't signed any forms from pg they have given me only receipt can I get back my amount ?
yes. you can ask for return of the amount. the PG ppl will have to return the amount as no agreement has been entered into between the parties. in case they don't return you can send them a strong legal notice.
