Hello, I have booked a OYO room through goibibo while i went to coimbatore. When i reached hotel receptionist said that booking id not received from ibibo. Hence i waited for 1 hr near reception and complaint to goibibo. But i have not received booking id and i said to cancel booking after 1 hr and inform to refund. But still they have not provided refund and when i ask to goibibo they are not responding properly. Can i file case on this.
yes. the consumer protection act provides for the filing of the case. first a legal notice has to be sent and the case can be filed. the waiting period for legal notice is of 15 days. the compensation upto 1 lacs is possible but depending upon the case.
