Refund from Builder for my booking amount after cancellation of deal

16-Mar-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I have booked a Flat with  a Builder  and paid and amount of 10 lacs for which I have the receipt. Later the builder on the pretext that he needs 20% of the agrred amount immediately cancelled the deal. Now though he has cancelled the deal I am struggling to get back my advance amout. Also the actual reason I found for the cancellation was that they were not selling flats to Muslims and I was taking flat in the name of my wife who is muslim. His intention are doubtful. I want to know can I bring stay on the sale of the flat which he has booked for us and also what are other legal remedies

You can send him a legal notice demanding remedies and if he denies complying to the same then you can file a complaint in the district consumer forum and claim remedies from the builder.
