my credit report reflect an outstanding credit card debt from Phoenix Arc Pvt Ltd (Division of Kotak Bank) which has reduced my credit score however i never had Barclays credit card. i told them about this but they are not willing to accept. so i want to know under which section i can send them legal notice to remove this from my credit report which is affecting my credit score

You shall firstly report the credit card company and mention your grievance. Later file a FIR and also extract the details as to where the card was used and for what purpose. It shall be made clear and a complaint must be filed with the ombudsman and agency. If it comes out that the bank was at fault you may sue the bank for damages and get compensation.
