You are very well within the ambit of moving the consumer court for compensation. Based on the limited facts presented by you it appears the property has not been developed as promised and planned, hence you have a legal right to seek compensation under various heads.

Having said that, the merits of your case can only be commented upon once we have gone through the supporting papers.

Hope the above is helpful.

You must file a consumer complaint seeking direction for completion of project and compensation. You can seek compensation for delayed possession as well damages accrued to you due to delay in completion of entire project. You should assemble all the paperwork, communication etc sent to the company and immediately prefer a consumer complaint.

As the project is not complete, so your office space is not as valuable or useful as you envisaged at the time of booking. So due to non completion of the project you are suffering financial loss, you file a suit for damages.

The short answer is that yes you can claim compensation. It does not matter what documents he has forced you to sign. You can infact take him before the Competition Commission in addition to the Consumer Forum both as an individual and as an association of buyers. I have attended to a similar case in past with success.

In your giving situations, it is necessary to go through the documents/ agreement.
You may claim for compensation but it depents upon the terms and conditions stipulated in agreement/ contract between you and the builder. For any query, contact me with relevant documents.
