Products sold without mandatory information

Can a customer file a claim on a FMCG company for selling foods without mentioning mamdatory information such as Batch Number, Manufacturing Date, MRP and Expiry Date on the package. How can the compensation be computed.
Query perused. as per your question you can file a claim against the search company e for non compliance of the requested information to you mentioned on the product while selling if they are not follow the law they are liable to pursue either in civil or criminal law for consumer law you have multiple parameters but what is your locus. it is better to suggest either to file a PIL before the concern court under the jurisdiction search company manufacturing the product.

Query perused. We would like to advise you that as per Rule 6 of the Packaged Commodity Rules framed under the Legal Metrology Act, certain declarations such as name of the product, mrp , date of manufacturing, customer care number etc are mandatory to be mentioned on the label, failing which the manufacturer or the seller or the importer who sells or distributes products is liable under section 18/36 of the act.
