Procedure to get refund from company
24-Aug-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I paid 5000 on 17th Feb to ride2rich an investment advisory firm for their services. I am currently using their services and above mentioned amount is paid to continue my services after Dec 2017. So the 5000- fee is for period of Dec 2017 to Dec 2018. Now I no longer wish to continue my services and I asked to refund 5000/-. Company says they have non refundable policy and refused to refund my money. Through news paper I came to know that in so many cases court have ordered schools to refund fees paid in advance when student cancel the admission. I want to know if I am eligible to get refund? If yes, where to register my complain?
Send a legal notice to the said institute to calling them to refund caution money, failing which you can file a case in Consumer Forum. But it is not adviseable to file a case just for Rs.5000 by which you have to pay lawyer fees and waste of time.
The refund policy is depend upon the terms which you have signed with the company when you have entered into an agreement with them as well without going through the contents of the terms which you have settled with the company if could not be possible for guide you any thing. However for the precautionary measure you may file complaint with the consumer forum of your area supported with the agreement and receipt and communication for cancellation of the agreement and demand for refund of money and their denial letter.
