My number given to someone else but address is mine what remedy

I have given my documents for taking a Vodafone corporate connection on 7th July. The SIM was not activated, no address proof verification done, instead they activated the connection with my address proof to somebody else. Today i received a welcome letter in my address box from Vodafone for somebody else connection One month i wasted going behind them for connect and with my document they allotted the SIM to somebody. I would need your advice, on what i should do to make Vodafone penalised for their action.
Serve a legal notice on them and wait to see their reply. You can definitely go to consumer court and as well lodge a police compliant for the misuse of the documents produced by you.

You can file a consumer compliant for deficiency of services, however prior to that u have to issue a Legal notice highlighting thier defect and give them time to compensate u r losses and mental agony, if they fail to comply with u r demands then u can file a consumer compliant for deficiency of services and unfair trade practices.

Yes you can fight againdt this company and demand for harassment and mental tortured suffered etc. With compensation for loss etc.of hefty amount.....but then you have to fight strategically and in well technical manner as those company hire Advocate of talented and big game,but if you contest with caution and ready to spent time on it, you have a good case for both punish them financially and make a good money as well .Further you may contact our OFC : Adv pankaj kumar
