Legals Solution for Delayed Car Delivery after Full Payment

Hello,
I don't have any previous experience in purchasing a car.The dealer told that making full payment will speed up delivery time frame. The bank sanctioned the loan and the dealer asked me to pay 1 L downpayment at the showroom.I have done that and the bank has transferred money to the dealer.
I have made the payment via Card and IMPS.
If the Dealer fails to deliver on time.What legal action can i take.I don't want to start paying EMIs without getting the car.
I made a mistake... i did not know about this.I thought that the EMIs start after car delivery .Please advice
please ensure that whether the dealer assured you in writing that they will ready for the release of vehicle in case if were effected Payment immediately. in case if any such written assurance were made from the part of the dealer then there is a clear case in favour of you
