Is it lawful to sell products above MRP rate

sellers sells daily use items like Pepsi milk above mrp stating that electricity is consumed for cooling such items. Is it lawful.

MRP (Maximum Retail Price) is applicable only on direct sell to be taken away like groceries shop. If product is meant for being consumed in premises of seller then seller can charge more for ambiance/service etc (E.g. Restaurants).
If its the first case then complain can be done to the Controller of Legal Metrology (Dept which is responsible for weights & MRPs).
You can search for contact for Metrology dept in your state and make complain.
