Interior Designer took 100% payment but didn't complete the work

My Interior designer asked me to pay 100% money to do my work, I paid the money and now they are not completing my work and asking me to pay addition money to complete the work.When I told the to complete the work or I will go to consumer court, they are threatening me that they will put a legal case on me that I'm holding there material and not paying the extra expense done for the interior work. Please suggest me what to do in this situation.
if there is an agreement or bills you can sue them in consumer court sending legal notice also you can seek compensation for the delay and loss incurred , if they pose a threat you can file criminal case against them before jurisdictional police station.
