Illegal car freight and transport charges.

Hello,
I bought a car and was charged freight and transport charges of 10k by dealer.
After four month I came to know it is illegal. I raised a request with dealer and now they are ready to refund the amount which is around 10k.my borther in law is suggestion to go to consumer court . He is saying I can get money as compensation from consumer court. He claims I can get 25k .
What should I do? Take money from the dealer or approach consumer court.

Approaching the Consumer Court itself would turn out to be a costly affair. If the dealer is readily offering you a refund, I suggest at best you may send a Legal Notice to the dealer through a lawyer so that might rattle them up and they might end up paying much more than what they are willing to pay right now.

you may send him a legal notice and see if the dealer is ready to compensate you. Incase he isn't ready to compensate you then you may initiate a consumer complaint against him.
