How to initiate proceedings against a telecom company for cheating

16-Feb-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
The service provider is activating value added services without the consent of consumer. When asked, saying that you have activated at your end. Then They say Ok, it will be deactivated but not deducting the amount charged for the service which I have not activated. This happened in bill of January 2017. I paid the bill in due time. Again this same repeated in the bill of February 2017 and the story continued. When contacted their explanation seems to be unjustified but we cann't escape even for migrating from postpaid to prepaid also for number portability whatever amount is displayed in their system we have to clear. Nobody listens to our voice. Can you plz help me in this regard

I completely empathise with your grievance. It is absolutely frustrating to be devoid of good services and still be not able to get an effective remedy or for that matter constrain the service provider to address the issues. These service providers take ample advantage of certain procedural loopholes of our system to exploit gullible customers/clients as you.

Having said all of the above, these service providers operate through various intermediaries at different levels. The key is to address the right person who is operating at a certain level with certain powers delegated to him and certain amount of responsibility entrusted to him. Escalating the grievance to a higher authority or for that matter an appropriate authority does the trick most of the time. This again coupled with using social media to put forth the complaint also has few advantages and better chances of getting the grievance redressed.

Lastly you can always approach the consumer forum alleging deficiency of service and claim compensation from the erring service provider.

Yes. You can give them a notice, mentioning the details about your greivances and suggesting them that if they do not deactivate the value added services and return you the amount, then you will approach appropriate Court of Law.
Even after that, if they do not take any action, then you can file a consumer case.

You fist send a legal notice to the service provider as well as send the same copy the local office. give the service provider fifteen days time to settle your problem . If not settle them you are able to file case
