How to draft a complaint in consumer court

03-Jul-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I got the bill for around Rs 42000 for a residential flat in ExpressView Apartment society based in Noida sector 93. The bill came in the month of January 2018. I have paid it in full out of fear of disconnection and now need to seek its adjustment. No one at UPPCL was able to explain 6000units being consumed in period of one month. I got the wiring checked at my house as well and all is fine. I require help to draft the application in consumer court noida.

hello,
a remedy has been provided in the ERC regulations, 2003 wherein you have to file a complaint with the electricity ombudsman and in case they do not respond then avail of the alternate remedy.

I can share a format with you of a dist consumer forum complaint. You just need to give a vivid description of the deficient and fraudulent services you received at the hand of UPPCL. You may contest this case through a lawyer or on your own.

well before you draft a complaint i would advise you send a legal notice to UPPCL regarding your complaint if you havent done it yet, second you can go to the consumer court and ask in the filing office , they can provide you with a sample draft and will also tell you what all formalities you need to complete to file a complaint. if you want help regarding the language of the draft then you should consult an advocate with the details of the case so that you may get the required help
