Formalities in filing a consumer case

27-Sep-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Hi, 1. After sending out the legal notice, how much time does it take the lawyer to register the case with the consumer court? 2. How much time does the court need to arrive at a decision after hearing both sides. Thank you,

Dear Sir/Madam,
1.Generally 7 to 15 days of time is granted under the legal notice for complying with the legal notice.
2. IF there is no reply within the time period stipulated in the legal notice, the complaint before the Consumer Court can be filed within a period of 7-10 days depending on the Advocate and subject to his/her availability as to when he can draft and file the Complaint.
3. If the Complaint is prosecuted diligently by the Advocate of the Complainant the same may be decided within a period of 8-12 months tentatively.

Hi,
It will take around 1 month to file a case after notice reply. And it will take around 1 to 1 and 1/2 year for judgement. it depends on advocate and nature of case. and of course where your case has been file.

Sir,

After issuing legal notice the case must be filed within 30 days minimum. Court decision all depend on the parties appearance but it maximum takes 2 to 3 years or may be it can end up in 1 year all depend upon the situation of the case.
