Fight happened in college but no complaint registered what can happen

Iam a student of a private collage .one fight happened with my friend and me on outside of our campus. He wrote me on Facebook that he has no complaint. I have a evidence . But our principal has taken this problem as a serious issue . Could they dismiss me from my collage . They said me to bring my parents . But i said no .since he has no complaint i wont bring my parents. What action can i take against college and what action can they against me?
