Education institute promised job, but now cannot get me a job

You can't go to consumer court because there is no deficiency in-service on the part of educational institute as you have successfully completed your course. However if there is term and condition mentioned in the broucher of the institute that they are giving guarantee to provide job when you complete your degree. In such a case you can file criminal complaint of cheating

First of all you should consult a Lawyer and file a case of damages in consumer forum as well as you can also take action against that institute of cheating and fraud. Meaning thereby you have two options by which firstly claim compensation for the breach of promise which the institute promised you at the time of taking admission and secondly you can take action through criminal charges against that institute.

Without seeing the complete prospectus of your institution I am unable to give you proper guidance. Most of the college who assured to give 100 % job placement but if you read their prospectus or admission conditions you will found that they never promise 100% job guarantee. They cleverly mention in their prospectus or in admission form that 100% job assistance. So kindly peruse the conditions of prospectus if they have mention 100% job guarantee then you will able to file case against the institution before competent consumer disputes redressal forum
