Cracks in one year old flat can I claim compensastion

Hi, Purchased a flat in Hyderabad in Jan 2015. As of date, cracks developed in the walls of the flat due to improper curing done by the builder plus no water in the borewell. We will have to get a new one done. Can I claim compensation from the builder for these expenses as an individual flat owner. Pls advice.
You can file a case against the builder for non-performing of services properly which led to cracks in the walls in the consumer court and claim for compensation.
