Can a consumer case be maintained by post?
05-Dec-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I am a party in person to a case, but am not in a position to go to the consumer forum for every date. Is it possible to send and receive the documents through post so that I can only attend the final hearing?
You need to engage an advocate for that and a bakalan can be filed on your behalf and then an advocate can appear on your behalf and argue the case then you can skip attending the case for every adjournment

It is better to take lawyer help . He not only represent your matter but also guide you correct course of action. See some one who is attending such matters in District consumer Forum. It saves your time and money too.

In case if your are not able to the consumer forum for every date, you may appoint a advocate for appearing on your behalf and whenever you want to appear, you can appear alongwith with your advocate.

Consumer cases filed in Consumer forum need to be attended personally and documents should be submitted by the person contesting case or his counsel in the court and take SR number and there is a procedure to be followed according to the court proceedings and all these procedures can never be done by post. Procedures are same but usually vary a little from state to state, also verify with your local counsel.

Dear,
No. It is not possible to send and receive documents through post during pendency of the forum proceedings. You will have to attend in person before the forum in order to submit or receive documents. If you are unable to attend the forum on every appearance date, engage a counsel and entrust the case to him/her. The counsel will look after the case.
