Buyer of SRA flat(Kandivali) has to pay double stamp duty/registration I have bought a Flat in SRA building after it completed 10 years, and paid the stamp duty and registration, now an officer from SRA has come and is saying i have to pay double stamp duty and registration, one is the registrar office and one in the SRA office. Is that true.

In case of an SRA flat sale after 10 years the government is entitled to a transaction value on sale which is either the stamp duty value or Rs. 1,00,000 whichever is more. So here in common parlance people may say you need to pay double stamp duty.
