Builder took money to build house now refusing to pay back the money

i have purchased land 1010 sq ft near Trichy tamilnadu I ahve paid Rs 7 lakhs to builder for land cost, approval for construction and construction starting work. six months completed builder not even get the approval and telling excuses. I have asked builder to refund the excess amount paid with six months bank interest but he is telling 50000 only having now what is the remedy

Is there any agreement between you and the builder, if yes then you have to go by the terms of the agreement in case of dispute. You can approach the Consumer Forum as a consumer for deficiency of service by the builder and also approach civil court for breach of contract and recovery of the amount paid and also for specific performance (to complete the work as agreed by the builder.

You can send a lawyer notice to the builder to pay back your amount .you have to wait for his reply. Most probably he will pay your amount if he does not pay the amount we can file a suit.so you don't worry.
