Builder sold land that was under construction of flat,fooling everyone

the builder had given a MOU for undertaking construction of a flat. At the time of MOU the land was in the name of the builder, but now it is understood that the land has been sold. He turned out to be a fraud and cheated not only me, but also hundreds of people similarly. At present he is in custody. What remedies do I have, please advice
First you have to send a legal notice to him and the company, basis the notice a police complaint should be made and have his bank account seized.

Here the builder had played fraud and collected the amount. so first you file a complaint against the said builder and simultaneously you file a case before the civil court, for breach of the MOU.
