Amount of compensation for the delayed possession by builder

I have booked a flat in 2013, possession was to be in march 2015. I have paid 90 % of the amount as per construction stage from booking (20%) in sept 2012 to dec 2015, the total amount accounts to 24 lakhs. Till date the builder is not giving possession. I have a loan of 20 l and have paid 6 L interest , 2 L principle and I am paying full emiof 19 thousand which started on jan 2015. The builder saks to wait for fit out posession in march 2018. PL inform what compensation should I get for 1) the delay in posession of the flat (if I keep the flat) 2) if I cancel the booking

You have a good case to get relief in terms of possession as well as compensation for delay. However before assigning any figures for compensation you can claim , one needs to go through the agreement you have signed. Hence the anwser to the second would depend on the agreement you have signed which must be indicating both the delivery schedule and the remedy in case of delay

Send him legal notice along with payment schedule, emi details, ask him compensation as per agreement/ actual loss, also file a police complaint for possession, also ask him RERA registration details , finally file case..
