What to do if there is a breach of contract

I booked a trip with my ex girlfriend and it costed more than $20000. We promised we would go there even anything happened but she cheated on me and she will go with her new boyfriend. I’m really depressed and mentally exthausted I can’t even eat and sleep properly more than 5 months. And I was paying hotel for her and it supposed to be paid when we go there from her, but she is saying she will not pay the money anymore since she won’t come. May I sue and win my flight and hotels and other expenses as breach of contract or whatever ? Also compensation for mental damages. Thank you.
See you can file a suit for breach of contract only if consideration is involved otherwise it is merely a promise and not a contract. In the present case she made a promise and not executed a contract. But if you paid anything into her account or for any services availed by her then you can file a suit for recovery under order 37 CPC.
