What are the rights of Girl child in fayjhers self acquired property

Dear Sir / Mam, i married my wife in 2014. Now we have one girl child. When i was married , her father was single . after 2 years later he got married a women and she is having 20 yrs girl child. The property is under her father name and purchased before 20 years back. While purchasing the property my wife mother was sold all the ornaments and her property and gave to him. finally he purchased .Now the property is under his father name. Now he is telling it is my self acquired property. so you have no rights to ask. i will cheat you means you go to court. no one will do nothing. i will write all properties to her new wife and children. So my wife was disturbed so much. kindly required how to handle this. if any possibility to get her rights . Rgds Balaji.s
