Promissory note proceedings - reg

Dear Sir,
Self lended money of Rs.6 lakhs to my friend about 17 months ago by taking personal from bank. Money transferred to my friend's account through net banking. Self taken promissory note as security.
Now a days he's irregular in paying money and his family also not responding positively.
Repayment of EMI towards loan became burden as my friend's inconsistency in repayment to me.
Kindly suggest me how to proceed legally.
hello client you need to file a petition thing that you have given amount to your friend transfer the money through net for security purpose you have taken promissory note now is not pay repaying you when you want to file a case against him along with interest
