land survey number swapped in the sale deed

Dear Sir, My mother bought a land in 1985 (in tamilnadu) where the promotor sold land for about 20 people. when i try to sell the land now, we found survey numbers are swapped in the sale deed between us and one more person. How to rectify this issue?

You just need to approach the counter party and execute a release deed between yourself and the other party. Or you can approach the promoter to make a rectification deed rectifying the mistake. Otherwise you may approach the court and you will be granted remedy. Congrats.
