One can file civil case directly without the help of lawyer/advocate.
There is nothing binding that one has to file civil case through an advocate only.
The party can always appear in person in court for defending his case.

Send an email to the opposing party. You can file a lawsuit with the court fee and then get a permit from the registrar for your act and personal appearance. With the permission of a court, you are entitled to act as your own lawyer.
