Can suit be filed against the property in my brothers name

Our joint family sold 1 acre land in1993 for good amount.my elder educated brother was managing our family.he took all the money and purchased other properties in his name.now he is claiming the purchased properties are his own.and asking us to make partition in our house which is in the name of my mother.my father passed away in 2004.can I file suit on all properties which are in my brothers name.

You can file a suit for partition claiming your share.If you can prove the necleus of revenue of brothers property is the amount he received from the sale of ancestral property you can claim your share from brothers propert as well.
