Can relative claim ownership on my property if living since 20 years

I got a property in my name but due my works I have to move from one place another for years so i havent visited my place for years but i pay all land taxes regularly by my self. on the said property my aunty and her children are living from last 20years, can they claim ownership on the property?

No sir they can't claim on the basis of possession please note.The recent judgement of Hon.S.C also clarified in this regard that person having possession can't claim on the basis adverse possession

Yes they can also claim the right in property on the grounds of adverse possession for so long but there are many exception in law on the grounds of which you can get ownership back by the help of court judgement.

No its not possible that they can claim ownership to your property. They were just the caretakers of the property how can they claim the ownership. Be assured that they cannot claim ownership over your property.

when you are regularly paying all the taxes relating to the land by your self and all the documents in relation to the property is in your name there nothing to panic.Your aunty and her children are residing there at your will.Due to your busy schedule you are not visiting to that property but you are regularly paying the due on the property .Yes, the unauthorized possession on the property can not be ruled out at this stage and in case of such unauthorized possession you may file suit u/s 6 of specific relief Act and remember for showing his/her ownership on the property one shall have have to prove Title on the property along with the dues,taxes and other liabilities on the property
