Can NFTE Certificate be issued to any student
01-Dec-2023 (In Civil Law)
Respected Madam, I need to know that under what all circumstances and for what all reasons only can the institute authority issue an NFTE (Not fit for technical education) certificate to a student. Can NFTE certificate be issued to any student for any reason at the will of the institute authority or are there any specific domains of rules and regulations beyond which NFTE certificate cannot be issued? I shall be highly grateful if u can kindly reply me at the earliest. Thanking you.
Hi, technically NFTE implies that a candidate who has not obtained eligibility for third semester after a period of three academic years from the date of first admission shall be declared NFTE. However, the candidate is eligible for readmission for first year B.E./B. Tech. in any college of the University. The candidate shall complete the course within a period of eight academic years from the date of first admission, failing which he/she has to discontinue the course. In your case, you are the best judge for whether you are made out to do engineering or not. You have to analyse why you are not able to clear this course. If you think you can, then please go ahead else there are many other good careers available. Do think of what interests you and then pursue the same. Hope this helps. All the best. It implies that, any candidate not getting the eligibility for the 5th semester within 6 academic years or7th semester within 7 academic years from the date of first admission will not be able to complete the course and hence will have to discontinue after 6th or 7th academic years, respectively as the case may be.
What is technical education also known as?
Depending on the country, vocational education can be referred to by a number of different names. These include career and technical education or acronyms like TVET (technical, vocational and education and training), and TAFE.

What is not fit for technical education in SPPU?
The student is declared as NFTE (Not Fit for Technical Education), when after three years of enrollment, he/she cannot attend the third semester. He/she may join another college for B.E./B. The first year of the Tech program is free if you complete your course within 8 years.
Answer (1) A candidate declared not for technical education is one who has failed to achieve third semester eligibility after three years of academic study from the first admission date. The candidate may be readmitted to the first year of B.E. /B. Tech.
