08-Mar-2023 (In Civil Law)
Hello I'm a guarantator for a loan taken by my friend who stopped paying and started to ignore the debt ( and me). Now I'm ilacing court action and CCJ, so to avoid it I want to pay off the debt but not in full, plan is to settle the debt on Full and Final Settlement My question is- can I sue the debtor after I settled the debt with creditor by FFS?

There is principle of law called as subrogation. i. e. You step into the shoe of the creditor. You can sue him recover every penny that you have paid to creditor. You can also attach property to realise your loss.
