As per HUF act, do daughters have right to ancestral property

12-Aug-2023 (In Civil Law)
I'm staying in the ancestral house built by my grandfather who had left no will. He passed away in 1979. He had 2 sons and 2 daughters. After demise of my grandmother, the 2 daughters have filed a suit in civil court in 2014 asking for share in property and also portion of the rent that we get from the house(shop cum residential property). Of the 2 sons, elder one being my father passed away in 2007. Currently, both the sons' families are residing in that property. As per amendment in HUF act in 2005, do the daughters still have the right to this ancestral property which is occupied by the families of two sons.

yes you have absolute right over the property as per the amended act , you can ask for your share and if they object and deny you the share then you have the rights to sue them anf drag them to court,.daughters have equal right over ancestral property
