Appropriate Reason To Be Mentioned For Filing Late WS ..

I am one of the defendant in the Case..I had no sufficient role to play in the Case.. burden of proof is also not with me..I had not filed my WS ... Now,on the request of one of the defendant it has become necessary to file WS ... what could be the appropriate reason for filing late WS...!!? Summons was duly served on me as per rules..
You can take several excuses that you have not found the appropriate lawyer to litigate your matter ahead in court or the lawyer on whom you trust underwent medical emergency or your lawyer was not well, your lawyer was out of the town, you need some time for making the strategy with your lawyer to trace some documents which have a direct impact on Drafting of WS, that's why, you guys have avoided to darft WS within time.
